Whether your need is for a wedding rehearsal dinner, ceremony, reception, celebration party, luncheon, a group outing, or business meeting; the tastefully restored rooms of the Castle and it’s Courtyard can provide your guests with an unparalleled elegance as a backdrop to your special day.

We host events with guest lists as few as 10 and as many as 175, and have options for most budgets.

Historic Elegance With A Remarkable Story…

The Castle was originally built to impress and to host the finest parties in Lawrence over 100 years ago.  The Castle has been restored to a level of quality that rivals the finest examples of historic homes from the same era.  The story of the Castle has many interesting twists and turns, but the fact that it is intact and complete is truly remarkable.  Read more about history of the Castle and her owners, her history is colorful and her legacy as a Lawrence icon is unparalleled.  The Castle Tea Room is available for events because of the generosity and vision of Libuse Kriz-Fiorito who put the building into a not-for-profit trust and provided the resources necessary to restore this magnificent structure.  All rental fees are used for the ongoing operation, programs, and maintenance of the Castle Tea Room.

Join us for a Public Event:

As part of our ongoing mission the Castle Tea Room will schedule public dining events coupled with a presentation of the history of the Castle, and a tour. These events are crafted from events that may have taken place in the Castle over the years.

Public Events are a way for smaller groups to enjoy the Castle.  In addition to promoting the unique heritage and history of the building Public Events raise funds needed to continue to restore and maintain the building.

Dates for Public Events are set in advance and available by reservation only for dates offered.  Since we do not operate as a restaurant food and beverages are provided by a caterer partner.  We can arrange for a private Tea or Luncheon with History and Tour for groups with a minimum of 15 people.
