Another Perfect Evening On The Courtyard

Our goal at the Castle is to help you craft a one-of-a-kind wedding. We work with the best caterers and wedding services providers in the area and can make suggestions as you go through the planning process.  We host only one event at a time, and depending whether your guest list is small or large, we can be flexible with setup to include options for changes in the weather.  Let us know if you would like to configure a setup that is focused on the Courtyard but allows your guests to use part of the interior.

How much does it cost to rent the Castle?

The reason you will not find pricing on the website is because there are many variables that determine the rental fee like; date, time of day, length of event, number of guests, space to be used, complexity of setup, and items to be included in the rental. In many ways it is like ordering a new car, there are many options and you have choices that determine the final price.

Examples of wedding events at the Castle:

We work with couples in many price ranges, and if you have flexibility we can build an event that works for your budget.  In order to get pricing information we ask that you fill out a simple form with as much information as you have, then we check our calendar to see if your date is available, and then we go from there based on the information you share.

We know that food and beverage is a big part of your reception (click for reception style ideas), we have formed partnerships with a wide variety of caterers who can tailor the reception to your tastes and budget, let us know if you need suggestions.  We do allow alcohol service at the Castle, service must follow liquor laws of Kansas, and adhere to a few simple Castle service rules.

WEDDING RECEPTION OPTIONS:

Courtyard Reception  -

  • This package offers the Courtyard complete with tent, furnishings, dj-dance area, restrooms and catering kitchen for up to 175 guests.

Castle and Courtyard Reception  -

  • This package offers the flexibility of having an indoor and outdoor event for up to 175 guests.
  • Event is focused on the Courtyard – inside spaces are used for additional seating and so guests can enjoy the magnificent Castle interior.

Castle Interior Reception up to 150 guests -

  • This package offers the use of the exquisite interior rooms of the Castle for a reception up to 150 guests.
  • The amount of space needed and the setup will determine the final rental rate. The number guests determines the possible setup options.
  • Maximum indoor dining capacity is 85 guests on two floors, capacity for a cocktail party style event inside is around 150 guests.
CEREMONY OPTIONS:

Front Step StunnerThere is a long history of hosting wedding ceremonies at the Castle both inside and on the grounds, here are some basic options:

  • There are several indoor options for intimate ceremonies in front of one of the beautifully carved fireplaces for 10 to 40 guests.
  • The Castle can host ceremonies for up to 175 guests on the North Lawn, the Front Steps, or on the Courtyard.
  • Ceremony Only Events Require - a minimum 2-hour rental completed by 3 pm unless paired with an evening event (tent is not included unless installed for another event)
  • May be followed with a simple cake and punch reception
  • Rates vary by date, # of Guests, and location

Ceremony rates may include a 45-minute rehearsal time scheduled prior to the event and may include the use of bride/groom preparation areas.

WEDDING CEREMONIES AND RECEPTIONS  -
  • Combination events may add 1 to 2 hours to event length
  • Ceremonies for more than 60 guests must be held outdoors
  • We host many small ceremonies followed by larger receptions
  • With some larger events ceremony locations may be limited by the reception set up
Castle Rehearsal Dinners – Evenings other than Saturday

From 40 guests – up to 150 guests

This package offers the use of the exquisite interior rooms of the Castle or the Courtyard for a rehearsal dinner evening event rental from 7 pm until 10 pm. Courtyard events may include a tent if installed for another scheduled event. The final rate depends on day of the week and guest count.

We also work with several local caterers to provide complete rehearsal dinner options including space rental, food, basic beverage, service fees, and service wares starting at $25 per person.
